March is Tibouchina time you'll see them all in full flower across the Sydney area.
There are three main varieties

Tibouchina alstonville the tallest at approx 4m and 2-3m width and makes a great addition to a garden for autumn flowering which last for approx. 4weeks.

Tibouchina carol lyn smaller size plant approx. 1.5m x 1m has a distinctive white stamens lager flower than jules, carol lyn will flower twice a year and sporadic flowering the rest of the year.
Carol lyn responds well to pruning after a main flowering and fertilising after pruning.

Tibouchina jules is a smaller relative of alstonville, jules only grows to 1 m x 1 m well suited for a pot or in the garden and the flowers cover the plant completely at flowering time .

New arrival at the nursery this month Murraya koenigii
a tasty addition to chutneys and curries.
Use the leaves fresh as they lose a lot of their,
aromatic oils when they are dried.

The other curry plant is helichrysum with a grey leaf
highly fragrant but loses all the fragrance once cooked,
makes a great low maintenance ground cover.

Cyclamen are back in stock,
they enjoy the cooler months of the year.
They do not like to have their bulb or corm wet.
To remove the spent flowers or leaves twist and pull.

We also have a good selection of denrobium orchids.
